grazie danda! io l'ho inteso proprio come l'autosuggerimento dell'asker, e infatti burdensome mi era anche venuto in mente, ma non mi sembra adatto al contesto non so perché e ho pensato che una cosa burdensome è appunto demanding

| Grazie, dandamesh, ma direi che in questo contesto non va bene. In oncologia la "terapia ad alte dosi"è una cosa molto specifica, a cui si sottopone una relativam. bassa percentuale di pazienti. Qui si parla di malati in generale, non è detto (anzi, è più probabile che non) si siano sottoposti all' "alte dosi". ma è certo che tutti abbiano dovuto sopportare una terapia "pesante": non riesco a trovare un sinonimo neanche in italiano, scusa! |

I'd go with the more neutral 'intensive therapy" rather than 'burdensome' which has only a negative connotation. Because they talk about new perspectives, I would stay away from the negativity...
