English term
not proud in anticipation of settlement
English to Italian
Science
Botany
Standard per manti erbosi, gestione dell\'usura
"When returfing worn patches one should:–
remove the soil to the thickness of the new turf being introduced
thoroughly fork over underlying soil, particularly if there are layers of sand, soil, peat
re-firm the cultivated soil by heeling and raking to ensure an evenly firmed turf bed condition
lay the new turf on to the prepared surface so that it is flush with surrounding ground, not proud in anticipation of settlement, top dress lightly
There should be no settlement problem if the turf bed is properly firmed, but if the odd turf does sink a little, levels could be made good with light top dressing."

Guarda nell'oxford dictionary la definizione di to be proud al n.3 c'è la definizione : to protrude slightly from a surface.
