The warranty policy is explained in detail in the Service Operations Manual. Essentially the Wet Disc Brake Axle, as part of the “Powertrain”, is subject to warranty for the first 2 years/4,000 hours, whichever is earlier, or 3 years/6,000 hours if the optional Extended Warranty has been purchased.
Previously, a “no-open” policy had been in place for Wet Disc Brake Axles. We are now pleased to announce that this policy is no longer in effect. If there is an issue with the axle, it should be repaired using the most economical method. This includes trucks for which the Extended Warranty has been purchased.
