neutral SafeTex : Hello Deane. It's rare thatI query you and even less so whenI have a suggestion up myself, but why do you think this only refers to the laydown area and any other parts of the land in question?

I did say I wanted more context to be sure. The Swedish term should be used for much else in my experience. SAOL defines upplag as some kind of storage area.
neutral JaneD : My first reaction was "storage area" of some kind too, but I really think this is just a much more general "layout" or something even more vague like "approach" (as in the kind of "upplägg" you have for a meeting, for instance).

Right, it seems that the Swedish writer here is misusing (abusing) the Swedish language here. But who are we too tell the locals how to speak Swedish? We look things up but 0thers ...
