"Grandes Stromtransienten" would refer to large accumulations of transient current. My problem is interpreting "fase corrida".

Hi Ceci,
I have a glossary of automotive terms into Mexican Spanish, and there I found:
Static, three-phase offset phase distance relay --> Relé de distancia trifásico estático de fase desplazada
Maybe this "fase desplazada" is your "fase corrida", but I'm not 100% sure.
Hope this helps,
David
