@ASKER that's why I didn't post it as an answer. The picture shows 3 parts but it's hard from the text to extract which particular one is meant. In Dutch: a "fals" is a "fels", so a "fold" in English. Could be the metal strip (most of the times, in this case the smaalest top-part on the picture) under the actual window.

This seems to refer to the groove under window sills and frames aimed to prevent water moving across the underside of the sill etc.
Example sentence:

A good detail on windowsills is a drip groove cut along the length of the underside; this creates a capillary break.
