: 'push' would be more suitable if the date was being put back (e.g. to March) - 'bring forward' would be OK here.

"I'll have to take my traditional February mini-break earlier than usual this year because of work obligations" or something like that.
"Push fwd" is okay but a bit too business-like.
"mini-break" is a good, up-to-date way of saying "gita".

"Mini-break" is a way of saying a little holiday lasting less than a week that you take either by yourself or with a few friends (or the fidanzato/hubby, significant other, whomever).
If you are going on a group tour or a school trip, then you will have to modify that term.
The "take...earlier" however is correct no matter what term you use for "gita".
