The Starlinger Recostar PET iV+ recycling process is carried out on a continuous basis, including a continuous SSP process. The secret is that Starlinger always uses the residual heat in the material, which is only possible in a continuous process, and which results in substantial energy savings (several patents pending).

1. In the first step, the material is fed or blown into a heated pre-dryer or crystallizer/dryer and then continuously fed into the directly attached
2. extruder which uses the residual heat of the previous drying station.
3. The material is de-contaminated with a high-vacuum degassing system with a vacuum of approximately 1 mbar on the barrel.
4. Solid contaminants are filtered out by a back-flushing screen changer.
