I recently received an email, apparently from a student member of proz.com and apparently viw proz.com, asking me whether I would be agreeable to her monitoring the answers I give to terminology questions. Has anybody else received this type of e-mail? I just wonder whether it is a genuine proz.com send or not.

KudoZ tracking feature Jul 1, 2010

It's probably OK - sounds like she wants to use the KudoZ tracking feature. See FAQ

My previous speculation was rendered obsolete by Alison MacG's answer.

I have one such person Jul 1, 2010

It does not bother me - if someone find it helpful or interesting than I think it should not be a problem. After all my answers are public anyway.

Naturally, I assume that it must not be.
