Spanish term or phrase: inserción
I am having trouble translating "inserción" in the following context:

Jóvenes competitivos con altas posibilidades de inserción social y laboral en las
diferentes actividades que desempeñen.

I have translated the sentence as:

Competitive youth with high potential for acceptance socially, in the workforce and in
the various activities they engage in.

I am not sure if I am on the right track or not regarding this.

This is the hoped for outcome of the implementation of a program for educating poor youth in Peru who are not accepted in society.

Thank you in advance.

-> Cheers and thanks from sweltering Saragossa, Edward.

agree  Andy Watkinson: Estas mañas... siempre quejándose ;-). Seriously, "integration" is the best solution, and can also be "recycled" when it's "reinserción", which is increasingly the case.

-> Thanks, Andy. The maños tendency to complain may be contagious. I'd better keep an eye on my attitude! Have a good weekend.

agree  Lisa McCarthy: // You too, Jenni!

-> Cheers and thanks, Lisa. Have a good weekend.

agree  neilmac: Classic. Social workers tend to use "inclusion" a lot nowadays as it sounds more touchy-feely.
12 hrs
-> Thanks, Neil. I think that "inclusion" would probably work too. I was just worried about a misreading of "insertion." Have a good weekend.
