I have thought of using "mantener en fideicomiso" or "tener en administración (a nombre de...)" but wondered if there were any better suggestions or more common standard expression, especially for a document to be read in Colombia?

If you are dealing with a last will, which is considered to be very formal language, I will keep "mantener en fideicomiso".

It's true this is for Colombia, but I'm going to have to make a hard choice and say I prefer "mantener en fideicomiso" because it is more formal than "bajo su encomienda", and as SLA says this, a last will has to be very formal. As I say, a hard choice as Miguel's comment suggests.
