ohne Kontext natürlich schwierig, aber aus dem Bauch heraus: könnte es sein, dass jemand bei "real" das "estate" vergessen hat? Also "real estate and personal property"?

mit personal property ist hier natürlich nicht der Privatbesitz gemeint (das wären Immobilien in der Regel auch), sondern das bewegliche Vermögen im Gegensatz zu den Grundstücken usw.
