About me
I am a 23 year old electrical engineering student, studying in Edinburgh. I studied medicine for 4 years at Edinburgh and gained a BSc in Biomedical Sciences before transferring to the electrical engineering MEng course.
I have always had a keen enjoyment of languages, both in writing English and in learning foreign languages, stemming from my childhood summer holidays to the French Alps. Since I was 13 my passion for the sport of orienteering has led me to take a great interest in Scandinavia, since I often visit scandinavian countries to train and to compete in this fantastic sport!
I lived in Stockholm for 4 months as part of a student exchange program in 2004, and I now read and speak Swedish fluently.
I have a wide knowledge of scientific subjects, and would particularly welcome any translation work with an engineering or a medical basis. However I enjoy the challenge of tackling new subjects. I have completed a number of translations so far, and would like to develop my translation workload in order to support my studies at university.
I work to a high standard with a strong emphasis on accuracy and good English, and I guarantee prompt delivery of any translation work.
