The thyroid gland is a part of the body located under the skin at the bottom of the throat. The thyroid makes substances called hormones which help control heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, and weight.
Your investigator may receive a more complete picture of your health as well as your social and mental state by your study participation. In addition, the study investigations and monitoring may improve your healthcare. However, there is no guarantee that you will receive a medical benefit from participating in this study.
